On December 15, 2025, according to China's National Medical Products Administration (NMPA), Nabsolute Co., Ltd. completed the notification of its first new cosmetic ingredient (NCI) in China under NCI number “国妆原备字20250159”. The ingredient, Hyaluronic Acid/Polyisopropylacrylamide Copolymer, is notable as the first NCI from Thailand to be approved in China.

Poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) (PNIPAM) hydrogel is a temperature-sensitive polymer with both hydrophilic and hydrophobic groups, providing versatile functionality in cosmetic and biomedical applications.

NCI registration/notification is mandatory for ingredients that have not yet been included in the Inventory of Existing Cosmetic Ingredients in China (IECIC). Without that, these ingredients cannot be legally used in cosmetic products in China.
