The technical requirements for the 4 new cosmetic ingredients mentioned above have not been disclosed, and they have not yet entered the safety monitoring period.

S-Acetyl-L-Glutathione

S-Acetyl-L-Glutathione (SAG), an important precursor of glutathione, has gained widespread attention in recent years in the fields of food and dietary supplements.

Glutathione is a key antioxidant in the human body, involved in various physiological functions, including antioxidant defense, immune regulation, and detoxification processes.

SAG possesses antioxidant, brightening, and anti-aging properties, and can be incorporated into skincare products to help improve skin condition, reduce wrinkles, and enhance skin elasticity.

Dihydroquercetin

Dihydroquercetin is a naturally occurring compound widely found in plants and is recognized as a significant flavonoid in nature. It is primarily sourced from the roots of larch trees in cold regions and exists in both aglycone and glycoside forms.

There are four stereoisomers of dihydroquercetin, and the version submitted in this filing specifically refers to (2R,3R)-Taxifolin, its precise chemical designation.

According to the notifier, as stated on JAJALE BIO’s official website, dihydroquercetin is used as an antioxidant in cosmetics.

Hexanoyl Dipeptide-3 Norleucine Acetate

Hexanoyl Dipeptide-3 Norleucine Acetate is a bioactive peptide known for its functions in improving the stratum corneum, providing hydration, and soothing the skin.

Since 2021, the notifier Winkey Technology has completed 19 filings for new cosmetic ingredients, covering 17 distinct substances — making it the enterprise with the highest number of new cosmetic ingredient filings in China.

As of now, a total of 39 peptide-based cosmetic ingredients have been registered in China, representing about 13.2% of all notified new cosmetic ingredients since 2021 (295 in total). This reflects the growing popularity of peptides in functional skincare.
