In-cosmetics Global 2025: ZMUni Delivers Key Insights into China's Cosmetic Ingredient Market & Regulatory Landscape
Publication date:2025-04-16

The in-cosmetics Global 2025 exhibition was successfully held from April 8 to 10 at the RAI Amsterdam Convention Centre in the Netherlands. As one of the world's premier events for cosmetic and personal care ingredients, the show brought together over 1,000 exhibitors and thousands of visitors from across the globe. Each year, the event showcases the latest innovations in raw materials, formulations, and technologies, while serving as a vital platform for global exchange and collaboration within the beauty industry.

This year, nearly 150 Chinese companies participated, with 27% of them being first-time exhibitors—a strong reflection of China's growing influence in the global cosmetic ingredient supply chain and the confidence of domestic players in exploring international markets.

One of the most notable takeaways from the show was the spotlight on sustainability and innovation. The exhibition featured a vibrant mix of eco-friendly, natural, and sustainable ingredients alongside advanced technologies. In the Innovation Zone, we observed a wave of high-performance actives designed for hair, skin, and eye care—some of which were developed by Chinese companies, signaling their increasing competitiveness and R&D strength.

Over the course of the three-day event, our Head of Operations, Chris Wang, engaged with a number of exhibitors to provide expert guidance on regulatory compliance and market access for China. As part of the concurrent programming, ZMUni was also invited by PCHi to speak at the seminar "Your Gateway to China's Personal Care Market." Chris delivered a presentation titled "New Cosmetic Ingredients in China: Trends & Requirements to Watch," which outlined key developments in China's regulatory landscape, emerging opportunities, and practical compliance strategies for ingredient entry into the Chinese market.

We're pleased to share a preview of selected slides from our talk below (swipe to view).
