Botanee Group
Among the five newly notified new cosmetic ingredients included in this issue, three botanical ingredients were submitted by Botanee Group, with notification numbers 20250065, 20250066, and 20250068.
PAEONIA DELAVAYI is a highland flower native to Southwest China, known for its significant medicinal value. Paeonia delavayi seed oil is intended for use as a skin protectant and moisturizer.
ASTER INDICUS is recorded in the Bencao Gangmu 本草纲目 (known in English as the Compendium of Materia Medica or Great Pharmacopoeia) as having heat-clearing and blood-cooling properties. In southern China, its young leaves are commonly consumed as vegetables. Botanee's R&D team used a multi-stage refining process to accurately extract its active components. The resulting Aster Indicus extract is used as a skin protectant, sebum regulator, and moisturizer.
Pedunculoside, a triterpenoid saponin compound, marks Botanee's first notified plant-derived monomer ingredient. Before this, Botanee's notified NCIs were mostly plant extracts. Leveraging innovative extraction techniques, the R&D team achieved a purity level exceeding 95%. Preliminary studies suggest that Pedunculoside effectively reduces inflammatory responses, offering anti-inflammatory, moisturizing, and oil-controlling benefits. It is suitable for use as a skin protectant, moisturizer, and sebum regulator.
Incorporated in 2010, Yunnan Botanee Bio-Technology Group Co., Ltd. is a leading force in China's big health industry and the parent company of WINONA, a well-known skincare brand for sensitive skin in China.

As of June 12, Botanee has notified 16 new cosmetic ingredients, all of which are botanical-based.
