ASEAN Natural Ingredients International Compliance & Innovation Forum Successfully Held at CPHI Shenzhen

On September 16, 2026, the ASEAN Natural Ingredients International Compliance & Innovation Forum, a key concurrent forum of CPHI & PMEC Shenzhen, was successfully held at the Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center (Futian).

  

Jointly organized by ZMUni Compliance Centre, the China Chamber of Commerce for Import & Export of Medicines & Health Products, and Shanghai Sinoexpo Informa Markets International Exhibition Co., Ltd., the forum brought together industry experts to explore regulatory requirements and market access strategies for novel food ingredients, cosmetics, and health foods across China, ASEAN, and other global markets.

 

 

Five Sessions, Covering Key Regulatory Topics

 

The forum featured five expert sessions covering both domestic regulatory developments and international market access:

 

China's Regulatory Framework for Novel Food Ingredients: Current Status and Outlook

An invited expert from the National Center for Food Safety Risk Assessment (CFSA) discussed China's regulatory framework and application requirements for novel food ingredients, genetically modified products, and synthetic biology-related products.

International Novel Food Registration: Practical Insights from Thailand

Weiping Tang, General Manager of ZMUni's Food Business Division, shared practical insights into food and dietary supplement regulations in Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, and other ASEAN markets, alongside key registration systems in China, the U.S., and the EU.

Qingquan Guo, Director of the Guangdong Functional Cosmetics Engineering Technology Research Center, explored ASEAN cosmetics regulations, market access requirements, and opportunities under RCEP.
