The packaging of pet food should have a label, and the label should meet the requirements of the Pet Feed Labeling Regulations.

The labels of pet feed products produced and sold within the territory of the People’s Republic of China shall indicate the product name, raw material composition, guaranteed value of product component analysis, net content, storage conditions, instructions for use, precautions, production date, shelf life, production Information such as the name and address of the enterprise, license number, and the product standard.

Overseas enterprises exporting pet food (except pet snacks) to China for the first time should apply to the Ministry of Agriculture for import registration and obtain an import registration certificate.

The General Administration of Customs of the People’s Republic of China (GACC) implements a registration system for manufacturers in countries or regions that allow the import of feed, and imported feed should come from registered overseas manufacturers.
