Strong Performance of Imported Goods in China's 2023 Double 11 Shopping Festival

1. Ningbo Customs

From 20:00 on October 31st to 24:00 on November 11th, Ningbo Customs received a total declared value of 3.21 billion yuan of cross-border e-commerce retail import goods, representing a year-on-year increase of 6.92%. Once again, it secured the top spot among comprehensive bonded zone cities nationwide.

Cross-border e-commerce retail imports in Ningbo mainly came from 102 countries and regions. Among them, goods originating from the United States, Japan, Australia, Germany, and South Korea were the most popular, accounting for a total sales proportion of 58%. Health foods, cosmetics, baby products, and non-alcoholic beverages were the main imported goods, accounting for 70% of the sales.

2. Guangzhou Customs

According to statistics, from 20:00 on October 31st to November 8th, Guangzhou Customs supervised a total of 26.773 million cross-border e-commerce retail import and export lists, a year-on-year increase of 53.1%. Among them, there were 3.432 million cross-border e-commerce retail import lists, with food and cosmetics being the main imported goods.

3. Beijing Customs

During the "Double 11" promotion period (from October 31st to 11:00 on November 11th), Beijing Customs supervised a total of 233,000 cross-border e-commerce retail import and export lists, of which 196,000 were cross-border e-commerce retail import lists, with a value of nearly 59 million yuan. The main imported goods were beauty and skincare products.

Tmall International Performance

This year's Tmall Double 11 once again proved that the Chinese market is always a land of global opportunities. In Tmall International, there were 1,491 brands with a year-on-year growth rate exceeding 100% during the Double 11, and multiple import trend tracks experienced explosive growth.

It is worth mentioning that many overseas new brands had a successful start in China. In the sales report, 593 overseas new brands on Tmall International doubled their transactions, and 268 new brands had a tenfold increase in transactions.
